On July 26, 2022 shortly before 8:30 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Power Inn Road and Andora Way for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Officers located the pedestrian, an adult male, with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medical personnel. The involved vehicle fled the area of the incident. 

Traffic detectives from the Major Collisions Investigations Unit responded to take over the investigation. Detectives canvassed the area for evidence, witnesses, and surveillance footage. This investigation is in the early stages and the circumstances of the collision remain under investigation. There is no suspect information to provide at this time.  

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
