On October 20, 2022 around 12:35 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 3900 block of N Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a male adult with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They will be processing the scene for evidence, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses. This investigation is in its early stages and the exact circumstances are still being followed up on, however detectives believe that an apparent robbery preceded the shooting. The investigation is very active and there is no suspect information to provide at this time.
“This is yet another example of vulnerable people in our community being tragically affected by gun violence.
