On November 9th, 2022 around 4:35 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Arcade Blvd and Kenwood St for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist. The involved vehicle continued driving after the collision and was not located. The bicyclist, a female adult, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. 

Due to the circumstances, traffic detectives responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area for evidence, and obtained statements from witnesses. The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation and there is no suspect information to provide at this time. 

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
