Today, 62-year-old Kim Wilson, a Del Paso Heights Elementary School teacher, was arrested for 17 counts of Lewd Acts with a Child (Penal Code Section 288(a) and 288(b)) and 1 count of Possession of Child Pornography (Penal Code Section 311.11).
In 2019, Twin Rivers Unified Police Department received a lewd conduct report in which a juvenile victim reported an incident involving Wilson which occurred at Del Paso Heights Elementary School that took place in 2014. Twin Rivers Police Department officers contacted the victim and her family and conducted a preliminary investigation. During their investigation, Twin Rivers Unified Police Department identified Wilson as a possible suspect. Twin Rivers Police Department then forwarded the report to the Sacramento Police Department. Department records show that the case was suspended. We are currently reviewing the circumstances surrounding that investigation.
Recently, the Sacramento Police Department received a report from a separate juvenile victim alleging that Wilson had sexually assaulted her in 2014. This case was assigned to detectives in the Sacramento Police Department Sexual Assault/Child Abuse (SACA) unit and is being actively investigated.
On January 18, 2023, SACA Detectives served search warrants at multiple locations, including Wilson’s residence. Numerous pieces of evidence were recovered during the searches which ultimately led to the arrest of Wilson on January 20, 2023, related to the report made in 2019 to the Twin Rivers Unified Police Department.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone who may have been victimized by Wilson or anyone with additional information related to this investigation to contact us at 916-808-0170.
