On March 20, 2023, just after 07:00 a.m., the Sacramento Fire Department responded to a report of an RV on fire at Roseville Road and Tri Stations Road. Upon arrival, Sacramento Fire Department personnel began to extinguish the fire and located a female adult victim inside the RV. Sacramento Fire Department Arson Investigators and the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation.
Based on the investigation, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office deemed the incident a suspicious death.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to conduct a suspicious death investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area for evidence, and interviewed witnesses.
After further investigation, detectives obtained additional information and based on those facts and circumstances believe this incident to be a homicide. This investigation is in its early stages and the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. There is no suspect information to provide at this time.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
