On June 16, 2023, around 3:52 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 6100 block of Mack Road regarding a death investigation. Upon arrival, responding officers located one adult male victim who was deceased with apparent traumatic injuries. 

Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area, and interviewed witnesses. This incident remains in its early stages and the exact circumstances of what occurred remain under investigation. There is no suspect information to provide at this time.   

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
