The Sacramento Police Department possesses and uses a wide variety of military equipment to assist in safely achieving the furtherance of working in partnership with the community to protect life and property, solve neighborhood problems, and enhance the quality of life in Sacramento. 

On September 2022, the City Council approved the Sacramento Police Department’s Military Equipment Use Policy. As our department continues working with our community to improve our services, we are releasing an updated Military Equipment Use Policy and our Annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2022-2023. 

The Sacramento Police Department values all feedback and requests your participation in an anonymous survey. The questionnaire allows for community input on procuring, using, and implementing military equipment in the community.
