On Sunday, August 25, 2024, just after 3:00 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 1500 Block of Orlando Wy for reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers located a male adult with at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided emergency medical aid to the victim until Sacramento Fire Personnel arrived on scene. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. Officers located an additional male adult victim on scene with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital by the Sacramento Fire Department and is in stable condition. An additional female adult victim was located at an area hospital with at least one gunshot wound related to the shooting and is in stable condition.

Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They will be processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information to provide at this time.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
