Fatal Hit-And-Run Collision – Stockton Boulevard & Riza Avenue

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, just after 9:00 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Stockton Boulevard and Riza Avenue for a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. Responding officers located the adult female pedestrian and attempted lifesaving measures. Despite those attempts, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The vehicle involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Due to the circumstances, our Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) detectives and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area, and interviewed any witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. 

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next-of-kin have been notified.
