Today at approximately 10:15 a.m., Sacramento Police Officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Farm Dale Way for a request of a civil standby. The victim from the June 1st assault by Cunningham called and requested assistance to gather her belongings from the residence. An officer conducted records checks and determined that Cunningham was a parolee at large with an active felony warrant for his arrest.
While officers were on scene, another officer observed Cunningham in a vehicle nearby. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, Cunningham failed to yield to the officers and led them on a brief pursuit. The officers lost sight of the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle traveled westbound on Florin Road and ultimately collided with several vehicles at the intersection of Florin Road and Greenhaven Drive. An adult male in one of the vehicles that was struck by Cunningham was pronounced deceased on scene by Fire personnel.

He will be booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges related to the parole violation, domestic violence and felony pursuit charges.
