On Sunday, September 21, 2025, just after 2:00 p.m., Sacramento Police Department officers responded to reports of a medical aid call in the 2700 block of Ramp Way. Fire personnel arrived on scene first and located a deceased male and requested Sacramento Police officers. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office responded to conduct a concurrent investigation. Following an autopsy, on September 25, 2025, the Sacramento Police Department received information leading investigators to believe this was a homicide.

Due to the circumstances, Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have taken over the investigation. The circumstances of this incident remain under investigation. There is no suspect information to release at this time.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next-of-kin have been notified.
