On Saturday, October 25, 2025, just after 5:00 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near Florin Road and 24th Street. Responding officers attempted lifesaving measures on the pedestrian, however despite those efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene by Sacramento Fire personnel. Based on information officers obtained, it is believed the pedestrian was ultimately struck by two vehicles. Both vehicles believed to be involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Due to the circumstances, our Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) detectives and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area, and interviewed any witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next-of-kin have been notified.
