Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision - 36th Street & 19th Avenue

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, just before 8:00 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to reports of a vehicle vs. mini-motorcycle collision near 36th Street and 19th Avenue. Responding officers located an adult male and a 9-year-old female, both having injuries consistent with being involved in a collision. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Sadly, the 9-year-old female was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the collision and prior to police arrival.

Due to the circumstances, our Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) detectives and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area, and interviewed witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next-of-kin have been notified.
