UPDATE - Detectives have been relentless in finding the individual responsible for the murder of the victim in this case. Through their investigation, detectives identified 49-year-old Diego Flores of Sacramento as the suspect. On August 28th, 2023, Sacramento Police Department Homicide Detectives booked Flores for homicide-related charges. Flores was already in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail for other cases.

UPDATE - Thanks to the quick work of detectives assigned to our Homicide, Family Abuse, and Career Criminal Apprehension Teams, 32-year-old Miguel Gamboa was safely arrested in West Sacramento on April 4, 2023. Gamboa has been charged with a violation of California Penal Code Section 187 (Homicide) and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
