UPDATE - UPDATE: UPDATE: Locating Athena and Mateo are a top priority for the Sacramento Police Department. We will be using every resource we have and working with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to locate these children. Athena and Mateo have been added into the Missing and Unidentified Persons System (MUPS), and this information has been shared by the California Department of Justice. Our investigation has lead us to know that the 2023 Honda Passport entered Mexico. Because of this, criteria for AMBER Alert is not met. We are working with our law enforcement partners and the media to share this information as wide as we can. The Sacramento Police Department has set up a Tip Line for this case. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Athena and Mateo, please contact the Sacramento Police Department at 916-808-0560 or missingpersons@pd.cityofsacramento.org. No matter how small you think the tip may be, it could prove instrumental in helping us locate these missing children.
