UPDATE - Thanks to the diligent work of our homicide detectives, 20-year-old Juan Lara was identified as a suspect in this case. Thanks to all the specialty units who assisted in the apprehension of Lara. Lara was subsequently booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide-related charges.

UPDATE - Following a continued investigation into this homicide, detectives were able to additionally book 51-year-old Joshua Huston of Sacramento on homicide-related charges. Huston has remained in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail after being arrested on January 16, on charges related to being a felon in possession of a firearm and brandishing a firearm during this incident.
