UPDATE - The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 52-year-old Yanqun Tan for murder related to this case. On Monday, October 22, 2012, Tan notified law enforcement of a possible dead body which began this investigation. No further details are available at this time as this investigation is still ongoing.

UPDATE - The Sacramento County Coroner has positively identified the homicide victim from the 4300 block of Norwood Ave as 77 year old Kia Vue.

UPDATE - The Sacramento County Coroner has positively identified the deceased female located along the American River as Linnea Lomax; Coroner’s Office still investigating.

UPDATE - On Friday, August 17, 2012, Detectives from our Neighborhood Crime Unit, along with the assistance of SWAT, have arrested a suspect in connection with a string of armed robberies. Key items of evidence were located linking the suspect to the crimes. Due to the ongoing investigation we are unable to release the suspect’s identification or booking photo.

UPDATE - On November 7, 2012, follow-up investigation by Sacramento Police detectives led to the arrest of the second suspect, Rajdev Singh Purewal, related to this crime. The Sacramento County District Attorney's Crime Lab performed DNA analysis of evidence obtained that provided further confirmation of Purewal’s involvement in this serious crime.
