UPDATE - Detectives worked quickly to identify and arrest a suspect in this homicide. Today (9/24/21), 25-year-old Raul Jimenez, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges related to this incident. This investigation remains active and ongoing. The motive for the homicide remains unknown and detectives are still seeking information regarding this incident. UPDATE - Homicide detectives worked quickly to identify and arrest a suspect in this homicide. Overnight, detectives arrested 18-year-old Milton Collins on a homicide charge related to this incident. Additionally, detectives arrested 21-year-old Deandre Collins on a felony threats charge related to this shooting. Both have been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. While the motive remains under investigation, detectives believe that an argument during a party escalated into this shooting. This investigation remains active and detectives are still seeking any information regarding this homicide. Anybody with information should contact the Sacramento Police Department.

UPDATE - Detectives have identified the suspect in this homicide as a 17-year-old male who was known to the victim. On July 25, 2021 the suspect was arrested on homicide related charges and booked into Juvenile Hall. While the motive for this homicide remains unclear, detectives believe that there are no other outstanding suspects.

UPDATE - Homicide detectives have identified 20-year-old Raymond Hainta as the suspect in this homicide. On August 20, 2021 Hainta was taken into custody by law enforcement in Atlanta, Georgia and remains in custody on his active warrant. The motive remains under investigation; however, detectives know that Hainta was known to the victim. The investigation also led to the arrest of 41-year-old Amy Hainta and 51-year-old Andrew Kearny for accessory related charges to this incident. On August 19, 2021 they were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. This investigation remains ongoing and this is all of the releasable information at this time. Anybody with information regarding this homicide is urged to contact the Sacramento Police Department.

UPDATE - Detectives believe an altercation between the victim and suspect escalated into this homicide. 30-year-old Jonathon Humphrey was arrested for this incident and booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail.

UPDATE - On 05/28/21 68-year-old Ronald Walker was arrested for this incident and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges.

UPDATE - On April 29, 2021 homicide detectives arrested 20-year-old Dajohn Colbert-Vance for this shooting. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges. Detectives still urge anybody with information regarding this incident to contact the police department.

UPDATE - Detectives have identified this suspect as 34-year-old Curtis Slaton. Slaton was arrested earlier today (3/11/21) and was booked on homicide charges at the Sacramento County Main Jail. Investigators are grateful for the community’s assistance and do not believe that there are any outstanding suspects at this time.

UPDATE - On 1/1/21, 31-year-old Juan Roman was identified by detectives as the suspect in this shooting and arrested. Roman was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on a homicide charge.
