UPDATE - SPD Detectives arrested 36-year-old Jeremy Rosales on December 15, 35-year-old Benigno Duran on December 17 and 29-year-old Kenneth Hopkins on December 18, 2015 for the murder of 55-year-old Carlos Rios. Detectives determined that the stabbing was related to an argument between neighbors which quickly escalated into a physical fight. Rios was stabbed during the incident and
UPDATE - 12/1/15 - The suspect vehicle has been recovered and was discovered to be an unreported stolen vehicle. The investigation remains active and on-going.
UPDATE - ARREST: On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, Sacramento Police Detectives arrested 21-year-old Nicolas Rivera at his residence. Rivera has been booked into the Sacramento County main jail and charged with robbery.
UPDATE - With the community’s help, the burglary suspect was identified as 27-year old, Andrey Yakimov. He was currently in custody at the Sacramento County Jail on unrelated charges. On November 12, 2015 Yakimov was additionally booked on burglary charges related to this incident.
UPDATE - Arrest: On Thursday, November 5, 2015, Sacramento Police Detectives arrested 53-year-old Christopher Stringer in the 1600 block of Arcade. Stringer has been booked into the Sacramento County main jail and charged with homicide.
UPDATE - The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 24-year-old John Bunch for murder; and is seeking help from the community in locating 18-year-old Jason Brown, also wanted for Murder.
UPDATE - On Oct 27, 2015, SPD detectives were contacted by an addl vic who reported an alleged sex act involving Wallace. At the time of this incident, this addl vic was a student at Inderkum H.S. in 2014. Today, Wallace was charged by the Sacramento County DA’s Office with an additional two counts of intercourse with a minor under the age of 18, and two counts of oral copulation.
UPDATE - ARREST: On October 23, 2015 at approximately 7:50 a.m., the Sacramento Police arrested 34-year-old Kenneth Hill for the homicide of Luis Cortez, 34. Hill was identified as a suspect in this case and is believed to have stabbed the victim.
UPDATE - On October 14, 2015 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Barstow Police Department arrested 22-year-old Dezmon McClary for the homicide of Marcus Gonzalez, 26. McClary was identified as a suspect in this case early on and Barstow Police Department took him into custody without incident.
UPDATE - A 24-year old female who was present at the altercation was re-interviewed by detectives this afternoon. The female indicated that she received minor injuries and was treated at the hospital and released. Detectives encourage any additional victims and witnesses to come forward with any information.
UPDATE - 35 year old Jamaral Lee has been arrested and arraigned for the assault and battery on a police officer, in addition to advocating injury to a police officer. Although not directly involved in the physical assault, Lee encouraged Gomez to assault the officer while video-taping the incident.
UPDATE - Detectives confirmed that the shooting is narcotics (marijuana) related, and not a random incident. The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 24-year-old John Bunch for murder; and is seeking help from the community in locating 18-year-old Jason Brown, also wanted for Murder.
UPDATE - Missing person Jinxian Xiong was located safe and unharmed in the West Sacramento area.
UPDATE - On 12/29/15, with collaboration with the Sac. DA's Office, SPD Detectives arrested 19-yr-old Charlie Hola and 19-yr-old Tevita Kaihea for the murder. They were both in custody on robbery charges when they were add booked.
UPDATE - The Sacramento County Coroner’s office has identified the deceased woman as 66-year-old Roseanne Brown of Sacramento.

UPDATE - On March 17, 2016 SPD arrested 22-yr-old Richard Gutierrez and 39-yr-old Laurencio Quintero for Murder. UPDATE - The suspect in last night’s homicide has been safely taken into custody in the area of Watt Avenue and highway 80 with the assistance from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and allied agencies.
UPDATE - In May 2015, Detectives arrested 18-year-old Aaron Newby and 21-year-old Desmond Eaddy of Sacramento. Both men are believed to have played a role in the murder of 39-year-old Peter Standley. Newby was arrested for robbery and murder. Eaddy was arrested for home invasion and murder.
UPDATE - On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, detectives arrested 35-year-old Kyle Fletcher for murder, robbery and burglary related to this case. A second suspect, Sabrina Ahrens-Gravelle, 39, was also taken into custody for burglary. The coroner’s report is pending.
UPDATE - On June 4, 2015, suspect Semaj Howard was arrested for murder related to the death of victim Quincy Lacey. Howard is in custody at the Sacramento main jail.
UPDATE - Homicide suspect Aaron Ramszy was taken into custody just before noon on 2/25/15 by Roseville Police Department. The area was searched after a reported sighting of Ramszy who was then located and taken into custody.
UPDATE - The robbery suspect was taken into custody today, February 27, 2015, at approximately 11:23 a.m., after an undercover officer, posted on surveillance in the Rite Aid (2801 K Street), caught him attempting to rob the pharmacy. Kyle Cummings, 35, entered the Rite Aid with gloves on his hands, his face covered, and a demand note for pharmaceuticals, when he was taken into custody.
UPDATE - Effective today, Wednesday, January 28, 2015, ILaya Prozorov, has been terminated from the Sacramento Police Department.
UPDATE - Four suspects have been taken into custody for the death Ramon Rodriquez-Lopez that occurred on January 9, 2015. In late January and early February 2015, three juveniles between the ages of 15 to 17-years-old were booked on charges of homicide. A fourth and final arrest of 19-year-old Nicholas Solorio occurred on Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
