UPDATE - UPDATE -Sacramento Police Detectives have been tirelessly investigating this homicide since it occurred. On June 26, 2023, Detectives arrested 18-year-old Steven Jackson for homicide and robbery-related charges. During additional follow-up, Detectives located the second suspect, a male, juvenile, and arrested him for homicide-related charges. Jackson and the juvenile suspect were both booked into the Sacramento Youth Detention Facility.

UPDATE - On September 16, 2022, Sacramento Police detectives arrested Joseph Jimenez, 21, for a homicide warrant related to this incident. Detectives worked tirelessly and were able to quickly identify Jimenez as the suspect. He was located in Vallejo and arrested for his warrant.

UPDATE - On 10-21-22, Toese Asiata, 34, was arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii for a homicide warrant related to this incident. He remains in custody in Hawaii and will be extradited to Sacramento at a later date.

UPDATE - Sacramento Police Department detectives have been tirelessly investigating this shooting and working to locate the suspect. On November 14, 2022, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the suspect, 22-year-old Rashawn Anderson, was located and arrested in Chicago, Illinois. Anderson will be extradited to Sacramento at a later date where he will face homicide charges related to this investigation.

UPDATE - Shortly after the homicide, Sacramento Police Department detectives identified 28-year-old Deon Conley as the suspect. Around 5:00 p.m. on June 20, 2022, detectives located Conley at a residence in Sacramento County. Conley was safely detained and detectives served a search warrant at the residence. Conley was later arrested and booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail for a single count of homicide.

UPDATE - UPDATE : On June 2, 2022, responding Detectives worked relentlessly into the night, following up on leads developed during the initial investigation. During this follow-up, Detectives served multiple search warrants at near-by encampments. During the searches, evidence was located, including a loaded handgun. Based on the investigation, Detectives identified 41-year-old Kenneth Howe as the suspect. Howe was located, safely detained and later arrested for homicide. Howe was booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail and remains in custody as of June 3, 2022.

UPDATE - Sacramento Police Department detectives have been diligently investigating this homicide since it occurred. During the investigation, detectives identified 22-year-old Nigel Robinson as a suspect in the homicide. On June 16, 2022, Sacramento Police Department detectives and SWAT Officers served two residential search warrants in the city of Vallejo related to this investigation. During the execution of the search warrants, Robinson was safely detained at one of the residences and was later booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges.
